The General President of the country's largest union – SIPTU – is calling for fresh talks regarding public sector pay before the Haddington Road Agreement expires next year.
Jack O'Connor says due to the faster than expected recovery of the Irish economy, the agreement should be revisited.

According to the Sunday Independent, the deal with trade unions is expected to last until July 2016, and negotiations for a new agreement were originally planned for next year.
However, Jack O'Connor, believes the talks should begin much sooner.
