Ennis has retained its status as being clean to European norms in the latest survey by the Irish Business Against Litter group.
However, the county town has been ranked only 32nd out of 40 towns and cities surveyed by the organisation.

A report conducted by An Taisce has found that the town's ranking could improve, however.
It cites issues at the Public Park and the Recycle Facility at Ennis Leisure Centre, the Clonroad Business Park and road between the Barefield and Barefield South roundabouts.
