A North Clare primary school with over 100 students has been given permanent recognition by the Department of Education nearly a decade after it first opened.
Students at Mol an Óige Steiner School in Ennistymon are taught using the Steiner-Waldorf method – it is one of the largest schools of its kind in Ireland, and one of two in Clare.

Until now it had temporary recognition, but it's hoped this permanent recognition will help it access government support in its bid to secure a new building.
