Around 7,000 Clare secondary students will be forced to stay at home today as their teachers go out on strike.
The one-day work stoppage is part of a row over Junior Cert reform and will see schools shut around the country for the second time since December.

Unions are unhappy at plans to make them assess 40% of the work of their own students.
Talks between the ASTI, TUI and the Education Minister last week failed to produce an agreement on the issue.
The Taoiseach yesterday also attempted to intervene – but President of the TUI, Gerry Quinn, says they haven't been offered the “reasonable compromise” that Enda Kenny suggested.
