Greek MEP rubbishes Taoiseach’s “follow Ireland’s lead” comments

A Greek MEP has rubbished Enda Kenny's comments that Greece should follow Ireland's lead, and not ask for a write-down on their debt.

The Taoiseach made the comments in Brussels during the week.

MEP Kostas Chrysogonas from the Syriza Party, says that it is unrealistic for Ireland or Greece to pay off their sovereign debts.

The Syriza party, who recently won a general election in Greece, is calling for a debt conference to be held with all EU member states.
