The leaking of Michael Lowry's note to the Taoiseach – asking for Valerie O'Reilly to be re-appointed to a state board – could be the focus of an official inquiry.
According to the Sunday Independent, the letter, in which the Tipperary North TD refers to O'Reilly as "not bad looking either", will be discussed by the Procedures and Privilege Committee this week.

The Committee could decide whether or not to launch an investigation into the supposed leak of the note to the press.
Deputy Lowry has accused the Labour Party of being behind the leak – accusing them of bringing politics "to a new low".
