Jobs Minister Says Government will Focus on Connectivity in Aer Lingus Talks

The Chief Executive of IAG is before the Dail's Transport Committee today to discuss his company's plans to buy Aer Lingus.

Willie Walsh held a meeting with the Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe yesterday to outline his plans.

The committee will ask Mr Walsh about his plans for airports like Shannon in particular the connections with Heathrow airport there. 

The Jobs Minister says the Government's well aware of the need to maintain connectivity if the deal goes ahead. 

Richard Bruton's told Clare FM's Morning Focus that any decision on Aer Lingus will be based on what's best for business and the economy.
