A Major investment is expected to be announced today for Shannon Foynes Port Company.
The port currently handles 10 million tonnes of cargo and is growing at around 8 per cent a year.

The estuary is the deepest waterway in Ireland and one of the deepest in Europe.
Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe will visit the facility at lunch time and is expected to annnounce a new infrastructure project for the port.
The company recorded a continued growth in profits last October when their accounts for 2013 showed and Operating Profit at €4.1m, up from €3.1m in 2012.
