It could be a number of months yet before Clare County Council makes a decision on Supermacs Founder Pat McDonagh's plans for a motorway service station on the M18.
The authority has has requested further details on his proposals for new outlet similar to the Obama Plaza in Moneygall on the outskirst of Ennis at Junction 12.

He's been asked whether there will be charging points for electric cars, a children's play area at the facility and if his company has been in contact with the National roads authority about his plans.
Mr McDonagh is behind one of two proposals for similar ventures – Applegreen is also looking to construct a station on the route at Junction 11.
