RSA Warns Drivers to Expect Difficult Conditions

Met Eireann is warning that winds will strengthen this afternoon and evening, as a weather alert remains in place.

Wintry showers are also expected, along with winds which could gust up to 130 kilometres per hour on hills and in exposed coastal areas.

The road safety authority is warning of fallen debris on routes across the region and says drivers should expect high winds on exposed roads. 

The weather warning is due to remain in place until tomorrow morning, and Clare County Council has warned of an increased risk of coastal flooding, especially this evening.
