An electricity pole struck by lightning in the Lisdoonvarna area is being replaced this lunchtime as ESB crews continue efforts to restore power across the county.
Almost 1,300 premises were without supply this morning following severe winds overnight.

That figure now stands at about 300 and the ESB says they hope to have all issues fixed early this afternoon.
Lightning strikes last night led to a wave of power disruptions in areas like Ennistymon, O'Callaghan's Mills, Corofin and Doora.
