Construction has begun on a major new development at Shannon Foynes Port Company.
Works on the new 12.5 million euro Jetty are being carried out by Kilrush Company L&M Keating, and form part of an over 50 million euro investment in the country's deepest port.

It involves the infilling of 3.45 acres on the ports East Jetty to allow it increase capacity on site.
The multi-phase project will see works on an overall area of 35,000 square metres.
