€ 5.2 million euro worth of the project has been funded through charitable donations, including constributions from TLC4CF and the JP McManus Benevolent Fund.
The government has provided €1.4 million euro to finish the build, but it's estimated that €900,000 euro more will be needed to run the facility.
Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Carey feels the “worst-case scenario” is that the facility would have to be opened on a phased basis.
