O Grady and Clancy likey to be fit for Munster opener.

The Clare senior hurling team has been boosted by the news that Gerry O Grady’s ankle injury sustained in his clubs sides win over Corofin at the weeknd is not as serious as first thought.

The Crusheen man went off in the opening stages of the game with what appeared to be a serious injury but it has been confirmed that no bones were broken and that the ankle is just badly swollen.

Mike Mc Namara’s plans for the Munster hurling championship have also been given a boost by the news that Jonathan Clancy will have recovered from the broken finger he sustained in training with Clarecastle last week for Clare’s opening provincial game against Cork or Tipperary on June the 21st.
