Call to Clare soccer fans to keep senior soccer on the doorstep

Limerick FC has re-issued their call to help keep League Of Ireland Soccer in the Mid-west.

The LOI first division club is in significant financial difficulty despite businesses and supporters of the region coming to the rescue with emergency funds in the last number of weeks.

Having secured the short term future of the club, which recently opened it’s administrative and training hub in Meelick Co. Clare, the board have set a target of raising25k to help see out the season and are appealing for support with the club’s Lottery to keep the superblues afloat.

In on-field news, Club Captain and Shannon man Pat Purcell will be out for a further 2 weeks with strained knee ligaments.
