Clare reach U-21 hurling final in Munster

Clare reached the final of the Munster U-21 Hurling Championships in prolific style with a 4-22 to 2-13 win over Limerick.

The 15 point margin was helped by 3-9 from Colin Ryan, 1-4 from Darach Honan and a committed display over 60 Minutes.

It was a free scoring and open encounter which Clare made the most of by racking up 2-13 from play before half time.

Indeed Clare would have been completely out of reach were it not for defensive errors which let Limerick Captain Shane O’Donnell and Tommy O’Brien in for goals to keep the margin to 7 heading into the 2nd half.

Liam Markham, Caimin Morey, Nicky O’Connell, Cormac O’Donovan had points from play while Darach Honan and Colin Ryan were in rampant form and added goals to boot.

There was no let up from Clare in the 2nd half and the home side got the first 4 points after the restart before Colin Ryan hit 2 goals in 3 minutes including a penalty he earned himself to end the game as a contest.

John Minogue’s are back in the Munster Final with a 15 point win it finished Clare 4-22 Limerick 2-13.

Clare will play Waterford in the Decider in 2 weeks after the Deise accounted for favourites Tipperary by 10 points on a 3-21 to 2-14 scoreline.
