Whitegate have won the county Intermediate hurling title by overcoming Feakle 13 points to 5 in Cusack Park today.
Whitegate led at the break by 4 points to three despite playing against the breeze.
On the resumption they exploited wind advantge fully by outscoring their fellow East Clare side 9 points to 2 to claim the tile and regain senior status.
it was also a good day for the Clubs Junior B hurlers as they claimed the county title by beating Kilmaley by 1-11 to 1-10.
