Clare senior hurling captain Brian O’Connell is expected to meet members of the county board in the next few days.
The meeting has been arraged to help end the current crisis regarding Mike McNamara’s position as manager which deepended this week with a vote of no confidence in the Scariff man continuing in the top job in Clare hurling.
Newspaper reports today suggest players and administrators are in contact and that the playing panel would discuss the situation again after O’Connell met the board.

McNamara is expected to attend next weeks county board meeting at which he will outline his plans for the season and give a review of the 2009 year.
