In football, Manchester City has agreed a deal with Valencia to sign midfielder David Silva – for a fee that’s believed to be in the region of 25 million pounds.
The club says that the 24-year-old Spanish international has already agreed a five-year contract and will formally move to Eastlands after he undergoes a medical following the World Cup in South Africa.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are rumoured to be on the verge of announcing Roy Hodgson as their new manager at some stage today.
