Liverpool owners George Gillet and Tom Hicks are blocking a quick sale to New England Sports ventures despite yesterday’s High court ruling in London giving the board the go ahead to sell the club.
A Texas court has granted Hicks and Gillett a temporary restraining order that prevents the sale with the owners accusing the board of an "epic swindle."
The order is also demanding over 1 billion euro in damages, the Liverpool board say they will fight the restraining order.
