Clare through to Mc Grath cup final

Clare are through to the final of the  Mc Grath cup after a 1-10 to 10 point win over Waterford today in Ardmore.

Clare trailed at half time by 6 points to 5 with Kildare club player Niall Browne making his debut at wing forward.
Another new player David O connor goaled just after half time which proved the crucial score.

Kerry beat Cork in the other semi final in Killarney to set up next weekend’s meeting in Tralee.

Kilmacud Crokes defeated Rhode in the AIB Leinster club football final by 15 points to 1-7 in Portlaoise.

in hurling news and Waterford defeated CI.T to book their place in the semi final of the Waterford Crystal cup next week by 1-12 to 0-11 points.

They will play Clare next week in Sixmilebridge in the last four.

NUIG  also lost to Kilkenny in the walsh cup by 3-16 to 2-12.
