More Munster Handball Titles For Banner County
Clare have claimed more Munster 40×20 handball championship titles this week with wins for the Saffron and Blue in Ladies and Masters grades. Clooney’s Loughnane sisters won an all-Clare Junior B Doubles final while both John Cawley and Pat Donellan took Singles AND Doubles titles in the Golden Masters ‘A’ and ‘B’ grades respectively. Tonight, Diarmaid Nash & Niall Malone play the Munster Intermediate Doubles Final in Cappagh at 8.00 against Brendan & Niall Fleming of Cork while Jamie Lynch is in Minor Singles action on Friday night against Killian Carroll in Mallow.
The same pair play the Munster Senior Doubles Championship this weekend also while Niall Malone is progressing in the All-Ireland Senior Singles Championship. Locally, Tuamgraney won the Sherwood Inn Division 2 County League with a win over Kilrush while the Division 3 Final takes place in Clooney this Friday between Shannon & Clarecastle (8.00).
