Westmeath boss feels side face uphill task to beat Clare

Westmeath hurling manger Kevin Martin believes his side face an uphill task if they are to get anything from this Sunday’s National hurling league division two clash against Clare in Mullingar.

The Lake county men are bottom of the division having lost their opening three games with Clare only 2 places above them after their win over Antrim.

The Leninster side did score 3-15 in their last game against Clare but Martin feels his side could struggle to contain a fitter faster Banner side:

Clare boss Ger O loughlin meanwhile will be without Conor Mc Grath for Sunday with a hand injury while he also has a number of other injury doubts including Diarmuid Mc Mahon who is struggling with a hamstring injury.
