Clare have grabbed their second win of this year’s national hurling league after a 1-27 to 2-17 win over Westmeath in Mullingar.
Clare led at half time by 10 points to 9 and and had their lead extended in the seond half with Darch Honan goaling a minute after the re-start before Westmeath alo raised a green flag of their own.
Clare however managed to hang on for a seven point win which sees them in fourth place behind Limerick who top the table on 6 points after their win over Down.
Carlow beat Kerry in the other game in Division Two.
In Division 1, Cork beat League holders Galway by 1-20 to 1-17.
Kilkenny beat Wexford 2-16 to 17 points.
And Dublin beat Offaly by 2-23 to 1-13.
