Stephen Ryan, a member of the Quin TKD club, has won a silver medal at the event in Auckland on a day in which the Ireland tam clinched three medals in total.
He beat opposition from Germany, New Zealand, Argentina and Norway before losing out to a Polish opponent in a closely contested final.
