Clare’s senior footballers have recorded victory in this afternoon’s clash against Longford at Cusack park.
The Banner ran out victorious in the National Football League encounter in a final scoreline of 1-07 to 0-08.
Clare had the better of the opening half, racing out to an early two-point lead, and while they were pegged back by the Midlanders, a late Gary Brennan goal gave Clare a 1-06 to 0-04 lead at the break.

Clare scored only one point in the second half, and while Longford had the best of the possession, they could not convert their chances and it was the Banner who recorded their third win of the League campaign.
