Ferguson believes penalty should have been awarded in scoreless draw with Newcastle

 

Manchester United Manager Alex Ferguson says they should have a had penalty during last nights scoreless draw against Newcastle at Saint James’s  Park.

The result leaves them 7 points clear with 1 game more played than second placed Arsenal.

Referee Lee Probert booked Javier Hernandez for diving after he went down under the challenge of Danny Simpson late in the game and Fergie says that was a poor decision.

Meanwhile

Arsenal can reduce the gap to just 4 points with a win over Spurs at White Hart Lane this evening while fourth placed Chelsea can create an eight point gap between themselves and fifth placed Manchester City with victory over Birmingham at Stamford Bridge.

Both games kick off at seven forty five.
