Clare county football champions Doonbeg have begun the defense of their county title with a 1-13 to 3-5 win over Lissycasey.
The West Clare Mappies trailed at half time 2-3 to 0-07 but despite playing against a strong second half breeze they emerged winners by two points with David Tubridy grabbing 1-9 in total,1-5 from play.
