Wins for Dublin,Wexford,Donegal and Mayo

Dublin have beaten Kildare by 1-12 to 1-11 in a thriller at Croke Park to book their place in the Leinster Final.

Dublin were reduced to 14men in the second half as Ronan O’Gara was sent off for a second yellow card and Kildare fought back valiantly.

In the closing seconds Dublin secured a controversial free-kick that Bernard Brogan scored to secure the single point victory for the men from the capital.

The Dubs will face Wexford who won the 2 O’Clock Throw-In at Croke Park where it finished Carlow 10points, Wexford 4-12.

Shane Roche was on target twice for Jason Ryan’s men with PJ Banville and Eric Bradley grabbing the other two goals as they progressed to the Leinster final.

Earlier at McHale Park Mayo beat Galway by 1-12 to 1-6 in the Connacht Football Semi-Final.

Paul Conroy was on target for the Tribesmen in the first half, as Mayo were very wasteful kicking eight wides.

Mayo came alive in the second half overtaking their perennial rivals with an Alan Freeman goal.

From there Liam Horan’s men managed to secure a comprehensive victory in a poor quality match and will go on to face Roscommon in the Connacht final.

In another dramatic semi final today Donegal progressed to the Ulster final to face Derry.

A late Dermot Molloy goal was enough for Donegal to leave the final score Donegal 2-6, Tyrone 9points.
