Clare captain tried to get O Loughlin to stay

Clare hurling capatin Pat  vaughan  has revealed to Clare Fm that he tried to make Ger O Loughin reconsider his decision to resign as Clare manager.

The Crusheen man-who was named captain by O Loughlin earlier this year- urged Sparrow to delay on a decision  following last  Saturday’s 17  loss to Galway in Salthill.

The former All Ireland winner stepped down last evening as he felt a new  voice was required for the team to progress in the future .
