Clare hurling has made history for the second time in three days after the Intermediate side claimed their first every provincial title last evening.
The Banner ran out 2-15 to 2-13 winners over neighbours Limerick at Cusack Park to be crowned the Munster Intermediate Champions.
In an entertaining decider the sides were locked at 1-6 a piece at the break but Clare came out all guns blazing in the second half and a quick Niall Gilligan score put them back in front while a goal from Ronan Keane gave them the edge needed to claim the win.
SCORERS : N Gilligan 0-7 (4f), R Keane, D Keane 1-2, R Keane 1-1, D O’ Rourke, P Hickey 0-2 each, T Carmody 0-1.
