Sunderland manager Steve Bruce wants to meet Alex Ferguson regarding the sale of Darren Gibson to the club.
The Republic of Ireland international had been linked with a move to the Stadium of light but Fergie says it fell through after Bruce’s side "shifted the goalposts".

Bruce insist that’s not the case, Sunderland have already signed Wes Brown and Waterford’s John O’Shea from the club this Summer.
O’Shea was sent home from the clubs pre-season tour of Germany last night after picking up a muscle strain and concerns are growing that the injury maybe more serious than first thought.
