Clare man Chris Bryan has finished in 8th place in today’s 5k open water event at the world swimming championships in Shanghai.
The Ennis man finished just 11 seconds behind winner Thomas Lurz of Germany to claim Ireland’s first top 8 finish at a World Championships since 2004.
