Shamrock Rovers Champions League dream came to an end last night when they were beaten 2-0 by FC Copenhagen at the Tallaght Stadium – the Danish side won the tie 3-0 over the two legs.
Rovers almost levelled the tie when Chris Turner hit the crossbar but Dame Ndoye scored for Copenhagen just before half time.
Cristian Bolanos added a second for the away side in the second half.
Meanwhile St. Pats who are in Europa league action tomorrow night could go on strike in a row over European bonuses.
The clubs part time players are unhappy that they haven’t received sufficient payment for their European campaign.
Pats are 2-0 down to Karpaty of the Ukraine going into the second leg in Tallaght .
