Clare full back looks for further future success

 

Clare intermediate  and Munster player of the year Pa Kelly believes that the county needs to capitalise its Munster and All Ireland sucess of the county over the coming years.

The Clarecastle man who added Saturday’s title to his U21 success of two years ago belives that Clare need to build on the minor and intermediate success of 2011 in order to win further honours at senior level.

The full back told Clare fm that the county needs to push on from Saturday’s win in order to maintain younger players interest in hurling:

Saturday’s win meant that Niall Gilligan added an All Ireland intermediate medal to the Celtic cross he received when lifting Liam Mc Carthy in 1997.

The vetern Sixmilebridge forward echoed comments made by selector Niall Romer that no changes should be made to the intermediate grade:
