Daly belives Fitzgerald has experience to be success in Clare hotseat

Former Clare capatin Anthony Daly belives Davy Fitzgerald’s experience at club and county level made him  the right candidate to take the county senior hurling job.

The Sixmilebridge man must wait two weeks to be offically ratified as county boss after last Tuesday’s county board meeting saw him the only candidate to succeed Ger O Loughlin as manager.

Daly,who won two All ireland’s with Fizgerald in the 90’s told Clare fm he was the obvious choice for the job once it became clear he wasn’t staying with Waterford:

Daly,who managed Fitzgerald in his time as Clare boss says the  former county number one will bring the same passion as a player to the managers role.

He also belives  the former All Star will bring success to Clare:
