Munster will be without Doug Howlett for their Heineken Cup double bill against Scarletts over the next two weeks.
The former All Black winger will undergo a scan and see a specialist early this week, as they attempt to clarify the exact nature of the 33 year olds injury but initial fears are that he has damaged his Achilles.

Howlett did the damage during Saturdays 19-13 loss to the Ospreys at the Liberty stadium.
