Offaly legend believes Baker’s side have enough to beat Clare

Former Offaly hurler Michael Duignan expects Ollie Baker’s side to end Clare’s unbeaten run this Sunday in the national hurling league.

Clare travel to the midlands looking to maintain their 100% record in the division while a win for Offaly would see them book a place in the league final against the Banner next month.

The ex All Ireland winner has joked that Davy Fitzgerald might do his old teammate  a favour in Tullamore

Clare aren’t due to name their team until before throw in with Davy Fitzgerald’s side struggling with a number of injuries.

It is also understood that the Sixmilebridge man will use the game to look at a number of players ahead of the league final next weekend.
