McInerney out of Cats clash through injury

James McInerney has been ruled out of this Sunday’s National Hurling League Semi Final with Kilkenny due to a broken thumb.

The Newmarket On Fergus man suffered the injury over the weekend and underwent surgery on Saturday which will means he will be unavailable for the Thurles clash.

Sixmilebridge’s Seanda Morey could come into the side but his participation will depend on a decision regarding the fixing of the county U21 hurling semi final replay between Sixmilebridge  and Kilmaley.

Colin Ryan is also a doubt for Sunday and will face a fitness test later in the week to determine his  availability
