It’s been confirmed Kilmaley and Sixmilebridge are to do battle once more in the semi-final of the county Under 21 Championship this Friday
The sides drew 0-14 to 1-11 on Sunday last, with Pa Sheehan’s late free giving the Bridge another day out.
However, it’s also led to a fixtures headache and despite suggestions of a long wait until the staging of the replay, it’s been confirmed that it will now go ahead this Friday at Cusack Park, throwing in at 6:00.
Bridge manager Niall Gilligan says the timing is not ideal.
Today’s announcement could also have implications for Clare’s clash with Kilkenny this coming Sunday.
With James McInerney out of contention for the National League semi-final, Sixmilebridge’s Seadna Morey could come into the side. However, he’s also due to line out for his club less than 48 hours previously.
