The Chairman of the National referees association has dismissed Davy Fitzgerald’s claims that officials have a personal issue with the Clare boss.
The Sixmilebridge man suggested after Clare’s league semi final loss to Kilkenny that referees had been deliberately not fair to his side and that key decisions in games had been going against Clare.
However Mick Curley believes the idea that any referee or official is biased against Clare in any way is totally wrong .
Fitzgerald may face censure from Croke park for his outburst and was previously banned for comments during a game while Waterford boss.
It’s believed Croke park officials will wait until they receive Alan Kelly’s match report before deciding if any disciplinary procedures will be be initiated against the former All Star.
