Steven Gerrard has been confirmed as the new England captain.
New manager Roy Hodgson has selected the Liverpool midfielder to lead the side in Euro 2012.

Gerrard was skipper for the 2010 World Cup, after Rio Ferdinand picked up an injury early in the tournament.
It’s also been confirmed that Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is out.
Peter Crouch is out at the expense of Andy Carroll while John Ruddy of Norwich travels as a reserve goalkeeper.
