Noelle Comyn’s predecessor as manager of the Clare Senior Ladies Footballers has said that he is surprised to hear suggestions of ‘player power’ within the camp.
Noelle Comyn quit the role less than six months into her reign, citing a serious divide between the management and the county squad as a key reason.

She also claimed that ‘a core group of senior players’ feel they are better equipped themselves to manage them team.
However, the man who had been part of the Clare management team for each of the previous four seasons says he never experienced any such problems in his time over the side.
