Clare hoping for Munster final

To news of Gaelic football first and the Clare camp are hoping to use their strong league campaign as a catalyst in this Saturday’s Munster Championship semi-final clash with Limerick.

The Banner missed out on promotion to Division 3, but lost only two of their eight games, with the Treatymen among their most notable scalps.

Another win over the same opposition this Saturday evening would put Clare in a first Munster final since 2000.

However, Adare’s Stephen Lavan says his team has put that result out of their minds ahead of this weekend’s clash.

Clare lost to Limerick in their last Championship outing in Ennis in 2009 with four points separating the sides on that occasion.

Doonbeg’s David Tubridy is calling on his team mates to learn lessons from that game.
