Tipperary beat Cork in Munster semi final

Tipperary have beaten Cork by 1-22 to 24 points in the Munster semi-final.

Tipperary were reduced to 14 men following John O’Brien’s red card, but Declan Ryan’s men clung on to win by the narrowest of margins.

Tipp now face Waterford in the provincial decider, while the Rebels head into the qualifiers.

Turning to the football championship, Down staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Monaghan 1-14 points to 1-13 in the Ulster semi-final at the Morgan Athletic Ground.

Monaghan were 6 points to the good at halftime, but the Mourne men fought back after the break and secured the win thanks to an injury time score from Darren O’Hagan.

While in Connacht, Mayo hammered Leitrim by 4-20 to 10 points in McHale Park.
