Clare expect Dub fury in back-door encounter

Clare management  expect to feel a backlash from Dublin when the sides meet in the All Ireland hurling qualifier on Saturday July 7th.

The match will be the first meeting between the sides since the All Ireland qualifier in 2010 which Clare lost to Anthony Daly’s side.

Clare selector Mike Deegan says no one believes the Leinster semi final loss to Kilkenny was the true Dublin.

Meanwhile Domhnall O Donovan and Enda Barrett are both expected to be fit for next month’s clash in Cusack park.

The Newmarket man did not feature for his club in their win over Tulla in the county championship due to a hamstring injury while Donovan suffered a head injury in the win over St Joseph’s but both are expected to recover in time.
