Doonbeg are through to the last four of the Clare Senior after a narrow victory over Eire Og in the replay of their Quarter Final encounter.
The West clare outfit got off to a fast start in Miltown Malbay, with Shane Ryan scoring a first-minute goal, but they only registered one more score in the opening period, and went into the break trailing 0-8 to 1-1.
However, they were down to 14 men with Sean O’Meara having been sent to the line.
In the second half, Greame Glynn scored a goal for Eire Og, who led by five points with 20 minutes to go, but the Magpies fought back with Colm Dillon netting for them. A further spell of points, with David Tubridy to the fore, meant that they won through to the semi-fianl on a final scoreline of 2-08 to 1-09.
Doonbeg now play St. Joseph’s for a place in the county final.
