Wikclow footballer backs Micko for Clare

Wicklow footballer Leighton Glynn has backed his former manager Mick O Dwyer to be a success with Clare.

 
The former Kerry-Kildare,Laois and Wicklow boss is set to take over on an inital one year basis if he is ratified at tonight’s Clare county board meeting.
 
The 76 year old is not expected to attend the meeting having met with the board last night along with his backroom team to thrash out the final details of his appointment.

The forward feels the legendary Kerryman is a good appointment for the county:

Meanwhile Cooraclare’s Joe Garry has warned that O Dwyer will not solve all of the county’s football ills with his appointment.

The Former U21 selector feels the 8 time All Ireland winner is a good choice for the county but has warned that the Clare football needs a long term project to improve its fortunes
