Newmarket on Fergus are celebrating their first league and championship double in 38 years after their Clare cup success in Sixmilebridge on Sunday
The Blues defeated Clonlara by 2-9 to 1-4 to capture the Clare cup title for the second year in a row having led by 1-5 to 0-04 at the break.

the victory came just a week after the Clare county champions lost to de la salle in the Munster club semi final at the same venue while Clonlara had been out of action since their semi final loss to Newmarket.
