Colin Smith had equalized for Clare in the first half, before Eoin O’Brien finished after a Clare free kick.

Clare’s captain Mark Donnellan was sent off during a highly-pressurd finale, but the game finished in a draw.

The Banner now have one point from their opening matches, but can still progress on goal difference if Galway lose their last match to Limerick and if Clare beat Roscommon.
